The Diamond Dusters “97” coaches would like to thank ALL of the great athletes that participated in the Diamond Dusters 14U tryouts. You were all very special and exceptional athletes. The Diamond Dusters wish all the very best and encourage you to continue to build your skill levels…most importantly keep playing the game you obviously all love!
Congratulations 2012 Diamond Dusters 97! The athleticism, and work ethics of all the players, was very impressive. With that…the selections were definitely one of the most difficult we have had to make in a while.

It’s Monday and Sunny here in Spokane Washington. The girls got a good practice in and participated in the opening ceremonies for the ASA Western Nationals tournament.
Wow what a trip. A week long tournament in Park City Utah where the girls played in the Triple Crown World Series. Heck it was just nice to get out of the rain and see some sun and softball. Opening Ceremonies were on Monday, followed by games on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. View some of the photos from the trip
Diamond Dusters 97 Win Second Straight Championship At Metros
This past weekend, numerous 14U fastpitch teams in South Seattle had ambitions of walking away with the Amateur Softball Association’s (ASA) Metro Championship. The Diamond Dusters 97 were rolling in off their NSA State championship and were the early favorites. After all the games were played, once again the Diamond Dusters 97 took the championship in undefeated fashion, and their second in a row following their State NSA Championship last weekend in the Tri-Cities.
In the championship game it was an all Diamond Dusters affair, with the younger Diamond Duster 97, 14U team squaring off with their older 14U counterparts, in what was their 3rd meeting in 2 weeks. In a back and forth game that saw 3 lead changes Dusters 97 came out on top for the third time in two weeks with a 7-5 victory, and solidified their 1st Metro championship.
Diamond Dusters 97 is the first Diamond Dusters team to hold both NSA and ASA titles since the 2001 Diamond Dusters Red 16U, coached by Dick Thompson, Bob Pedroza, Dan Haas.
Congratulations to the Diamond Dusters 97 on an outstanding performance. Your poise through out the games allowed you to battle through the tight games and kept a clam confidence out you, when you were behind. Continue… out practicing and out working your opponents and you will continue to see the improvements in your game week to week.
